VP Sales (Industrial Automation)

A Leading System Integrator for Industrial Automations is currently looking for a VP of Sales

You’ll be working for a market-leader within the industrial automation industry who is looking for a VP of Sales to be based in Petaling Jaya. With an aggressive growth plan and the vision to become a better leader in its field, it continues to gain market share over its competitors.

Your new role

You will be reporting to the CEO. Your responsibilities will consist of:

  1. Sales Leadership:
    • Provide strategic leadership, setting clear objectives and performance expectations.
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration.
  2. Market Expansion:
    • Leverage your extensive professional network in the Malaysian manufacturing space to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
    • Drive market expansion initiatives, targeting key accounts and strategic partnerships.
  3. Industry Expertise:
    • Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Malaysian manufacturing and automation industry to position our products and services effectively.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
  4. Strategic Relationships:
    • Cultivate and nurture strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the Malaysian market.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums in Kuala Lumpur.
  5. Sales Process Optimization:
    • Streamline and systemise the sales process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices for lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals.
  6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
    • Develop accurate sales forecasts and reports, providing regular updates to the executive team.
    • Implement a data-driven approach to measure and analyze sales performance metrics.

What you'll need to succeed

To ensure your success in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a successful sales leader in the Malaysian manufacturing or automation industry.
  • Strong professional network within the Malaysian manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth understanding of automation technologies and manufacturing processes in the Malaysian context.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into effective sales strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
