Your new role

• Research and development of new products which meet the business needs of customers and complies with the regulations of relevant statutory bodies.
• Evaluate alternative raw material sources that support justification in terms of quality and cost.
• Involve in collaboration with reputable research education institutions and industry stakeholders in developing new findings in product development.
• Provide technical support to customers including onsite support for line trial and troubleshooting.
• Formulate and prepare product samples for customers for lab evaluation and validation trial.
• Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations to customers for the best and effective use of product in the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with QC and Production team on quality and process improvement and optimization.
• Conduct technical audits on internal processes to ensure compliance with the quality and standards required for the final products.
• Assist in lab management and coordinate the lab activities

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science or related discipline (e.g., Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering).
• Possess at least 5-8 years of experience in paints and coatings, focussed on water based/solvent based coatings
• Expertise on rubber glove/ condom/ tyre/ rubber hose/ latex thread/ latex/ rubber chemicals and other related rubber application is an advantage.
• Experience in coating/adhesives applications is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience on analytical instrument covering particle size analyzing, FTIR spectroscopy, SEM-EDX microscopy, HPLC chromatography and other related analytical techniques.
