Your new role

You are responsible for ensuring smooth inbound and outbound cargo movements globally. You will be the key contact point to resolve any issue pertaining to cargo clearance and declaration related concerns. Hence, you are required to closely liaise with the port and customs authorities to resolve any such circumstances. You will also be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with your creative methods to resolve shipment related issues to duly meet customer satisfaction metrics.

What you'll need to succeed

• Hands-on experience in end-to-end import and export activities within the freight forwarding or manufacturing industry - experienced in shipping documents, HS codes, Incoterms, Import and Export Licensing, & other relevant shipment clearance regulations for DG and non-DG cargo.
• Extensive experience liaising closely with port authorities and customs is a MUST-have.
• Experience in managing freight forwarding costs and budget. Experienced at reviewing pricing strategies and conducting profit margin analysis for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Experienced in executing changes in Port or Customs regulations.
• Process and system improvement experience
