They are one of the top reputable tech software company in Malaysia, currently has market presence over the South East Asia regions. Now, they are looking for a Financial Controller to oversee their Malaysia's finance functions.

Your new role

Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to drive business growth and profitability.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track the company's financial health and identify areas for improvement.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.

• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings.

Treasury and Cash Management:

• Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.

• Optimize working capital management through effective receivables, payables, and inventory management.

• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks, such as currency exchange risk and interest rate risk.

Financial Operations and Controls:

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

• Streamline financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Strategic Financial Leadership:

• Collaborate with executive management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial performance and operational effectiveness
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Chartered qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA etc) and bachelor degree in accounting or finance.

• A minimum of 10 years of accounting & finance leadership working experience.

• Added advantage to have prior experience in IT or Insurance industry.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities, with a focus on fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
