Your new role
As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the logistics and supply chain management of critical oilfield equipment, industrial chemicals, and refined oil and gas and energy products and clients. You’ll ensure efficient handling, transportation, and warehousing of drilling tools, lubricants, and power generation components, optimising workflows to meet industry-specific standards. By streamlining operations and enhancing material flow, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the sector’s supply chain reliability in Malaysia.
What you'll need to succeed
- Oversee import/export logistics for oil & gas and energy-related shipments via sea, land, and air, coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and hauliers.
- Manage full-cycle freight operations, including FCL, LCL, and conventional transport, ensuring compliance, hazardous material handling, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Handle customer and vendor relations, resolving logistics challenges and maintaining global partnerships with suppliers, refineries, and energy stakeholders.
- Prepare accurate quotations, documentation, and billing, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, customs clearance, and specialised trade standards.
- Lead and develop logistics teams, fostering operational excellence, efficiency, and problem-solving in oil & gas transport and distribution.
- Apply deep expertise in international trade regulations, including Incoterms, customs procedures, hazardous material transport, and specialised shipping documentation.
- Excellent command of English.
