Finance System Team Lead For Global Retail Organisation

A global leader in their industry, known for their commitment to innovation and excellence. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance System Team Lead to join their IT Finance Team.

Your new role

In this position, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining global finance and procurement systems to ensure smooth operations and support the company's rapid growth. Your main duties will involve:
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Identifying pain points and proposing business process remodel (BPR) solutions.
  • Leading the implementation of BPR, including resource preparation, technical and functional design, system changes, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) support, data migration, documentation, and release management.
  • Acting as a communication conduit and collaborating with other IT members to support end-to-end processes beyond finance and procurement.
  • Providing hypercare for key processes such as month-end close and payment processes.
  • Continuously improving maintenance processes in terms of cost, efficiency, user satisfaction, and service level criteria.
  • Scoping and planning projects, managing issues, schedules, resources, costs, deliverables, and stakeholders.
  • Leading the design phase of projects, including process design, role definition, and migration methods.
  • Leading the implementation and testing phases, including function design, technical design, system deployment, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and performance testing.
  • Leading the release phase, including training key users, preparing release documentation, hypercare structures, and migration steps, and ensuring smooth project go-live.


What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with finance systems from an IT perspective.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP applications in FICO modules.
  • Awareness of the latest technologies and opportunities within your domain.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills, outgoing personality, and a rigorous and responsible approach.
  • Self-motivation, independence, and the ability to plan and execute tasks to achieve perfection.
  • A focus on quality and cost efficiency.
