Your new role
Responsible for IFRS prophet model validation, new products implementation and model optimisation
Assist to produce, understand, maintain, explain, and enhance the model used for IFRS 17 calculation (including liability, asset-liability strategy, drivers of earnings and contractual service margin models
Analysis on valuation of life insurance liabilities under IFRS 17, perform reserve movement analysis and financial impact assessment on actuarial assumption setting
Gap analysis between IFRS 4 and IFRS 17 financial result
Support for transition and merging of IFRS 17-related development/enhancement
Support for basis change, capital reporting and other valuation requirements
Provide support in data preparation, pre-implementation testing and methodology setting on IFRS17 reporting process and End-to-End IFRS 17 system User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Provide support in rolling out the IFRS 17 into BAU and analysis to support IFRS 17 forecast, business plan, audit and other project such as Experience Studies
Study the solvency impact after adoption of IFRS 17 and provide solution so that GBSN is in adequacy position.
Prepare monthly provision/bonus revision adjustments to reflect the experience variance, market movement and matching between Asset Share and insurance liabilities under IFRS 17.
Study the time value of option and guarantees (TVOG)/market variables and enhance in IFRS 17 model
Provide guidance and support to other departments for the development of the Prophet-based impact assessment and transition tool
Implement and ensure appropriate controls are in place for IFRS17 reporting process
Proactively contribute to the ongoing development of new IFRS 17 process and automation initiatives
Identification of gaps, areas of IFRS17/9 alignment and impacts
What you'll need to succeed
Degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent, with minimum of 3 years of related actuarial experience
Knowledge in Prophet Software is an advantage
Preferably candidates who has completed at least 2 professional actuarial examination papers
Independent, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
