My client is part of a global organization specializing in precision engineering and high-end manufacturing. The site supports advanced industries by producing specialized components used in process control systems, with a strong emphasis on quality and innovation. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer/Manager to join their team in Penang with long term goals to lead the team in China within the next 2 years.

Your new role

- Strong understanding of product design, machining, assembly, and related processes.
- Skilled in root cause analysis with the ability to implement both immediate fixes and long-term solutions.
- Actively participates in product change management to maintain design relevance.
- Manages engineering documentation and ensures smooth execution of ECR/ECN processes on the shop floor.

What you'll need to succeed

-Experience with Siemen NX

-Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing)
-Must be able to converse in Mandarin
-Must be able to move to China as per the company's long term goals within the next 2 years
