A leading innovator in oleochemical product development, this organization is at the forefront of enzymatic research and sustainable chemical solutions. Based in Shanghai, the company is expanding its R&D capabilities in Petaling Jaya and is seeking a talented Biochemist to join its dynamic team.

Your new role

• Design and execute experiments focused on enzymatic reactions using lab-scale and pilot-scale reactors.
• Analyse research data using techniques such as HPLC, spectroscopy, and chromatography
• Utilise specialised software (e.g., DynoChem, Aspen Plus, BioSTEAM+Python) for molecular modelling and process optimisation
• Apply advanced laboratory methods including microscopy, gel electrophoresis, and image analysis
• Present findings and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support process development and scale-up

What you'll need to succeed

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in R&D within the oleochemical industry, with a focus on enzymatic reactions or biochemical research
• Proficiency in lab techniques and tools such as chromatography, microscopy, and gel electrophoresis
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders
