This is a newly created role with one of the leading global producers of industrial minerals. They produce and distribute their chemicals worldwide, which serve various industries in the market. Their office is located in Shah Alam.
Your new role
- Provide hands-on 'Eyes & Hands' IT support for various office locations.
- Manage hardware and software assets, including inventory, replacements, and accuracy.
- Support local IT/OT applications and manage associated licences.
- Assist with local IT procurement, approvals, and financial processes.
- Oversee local IT service providers and contracts.
- Maintain and improve critical IT facilities (e.g., server rooms, cabling, UPS).
- Act as the primary contact for local business IT requests and escalations.
- Support obsolescence planning and budget for IT/OT hardware.
What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 4 years in an IT Operation / IT Workplace / IT Infrastructure role
Strong knowledge of IT hardware, software, and infrastructure.
Experience with asset management (Hardware & Software).
Familiarity with IT procurement and vendor management.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to travel regionally and work independently across multiple sites.
Understanding of IT compliance requirements.
