You will be joining a dynamic cybersecurity startup in Malaysia. As a new player in the industry, the company has been established in a number of Asian countries and the US.
They are seeking rapid expansion in Malaysia, then looking to grow into Indonesia. My client is focused on delivering innovative cybersecurity solutions to enterprise clients and government organisations. With a bold vision and an agile approach, this startup is carving out its space in Southeast Asia’s digital defence landscape.

Your New Role

As Cybersecurity Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory and market impact. You will be responsible for generating revenue, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding the partner ecosystem. This includes developing market-specific channel strategies, onboarding new partners, and aligning business goals with sector needs—particularly across finance and government. You will lead partner engagement activities such as performance reviews, technical enablement, and joint marketing efforts. Internally, you will work closely with sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure regional activities align with the company's evolving goals and global standards.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or a closely related field, along with a minimum of five years' experience in cybersecurity sales, IT security or a related sector. A strong grasp of cybersecurity products and industry trends is essential, paired with a proven ability to exceed sales targets. You should have excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, fluency in both English and Bahasa Melayu, and a track record of working with enterprise and public sector clients in Malaysia. You must be self-motivated, highly responsible, and comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team. Willingness to travel is also important.
Preferred qualifications include experience within a multinational cybersecurity environment, familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks in Indonesia, and an established professional network within the government, finance, telecoms and ISP sectors across the region.
