Your new role
As a Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Lead the global strategy and execution for a designated commodity, focusing on supplier performance, lead time optimisation, and risk reductions.
  • Build and manage strong supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement across manufacturing, inventory, and capacity planning.
  • Develop and implement commodity strategies that support business growth, product development, and supply chain stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing initiatives with engineering, procurement, and commercial objectives.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts and pricing strategies with preferred suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Utilise procurement data to drive cost analysis, supplier benchmarking, spend forecasting, and performance improvement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Materials, or Supply Chain (preferably Electrical Engineering), with 10–15 years of proven experience in commodity sourcing within manufacturing or related industries
  • In-depth market knowledge built through engineering, operations, marketing, or direct procurement negotiations
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels
