You will be joining a renown manufacturer who are pioneers in the manufacturing industry based in Selangor.

Your new role

• Develop and formulate strategies on direct and indirect procurement in line with company’s objective and focus.
• Minimize risk exposure in supply and service contracts and maximise opportunities in operations through supplier management.
• Ensure that goods and services are supplied on time via acceptable terms and conditions.
• Lead and develop high-performing purchasing to achieve objectives and drive continuous improvements
• Oversee the development of procurement and logistics processes and systems to ensure efficient delivery of goods and services at a reasonable cost.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct vendor interviews, negotiate agreements, and manage contracts.
• Establish departmental objectives and assess direct reports' performance against KPIs.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 5-8 years of procurement and purchasing experiences in a manufacturing industry
• Strong planning skills, leadership skills, communication skills, and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and accomplished negotiator of high-value strategic contracts.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin
• Experienced working with suppliers based in China
