This organisation is one of the largest local banks which are diving into their journey to setting up a Cloud CoE.

Your new role

• Cloud Architecture & Compliance: Design and implement cloud solutions aligned with banking regulations, business strategy, and Cloud CoE standards, including private/hybrid deployments.
• DevSecOps & Automation: Establish DevOps, DevSecOps, and SRE practices; implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security scanning, and cost optimisation.
• Cloud-Native & Platform Engineering: Lead adoption of cloud-native platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, service mesh) and drive infrastructure-as-code and self-service capabilities.
• Collaboration & Governance: Work closely with security, risk, compliance, and cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant, and high-performing cloud operations.
• Leadership & Team Development: Build, mentor, and manage teams of cloud, DevSecOps, and infrastructure engineers; oversee vendor relationships and service delivery.
• Project Delivery & Agile Practices: Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of infrastructure projects using agile/hybrid methodologies, while tracking performance, risks, and benefits.
• Innovation & Strategic Planning: Promote up-and-coming technology like AI, automation, and modern workplace tools; evaluate emerging technologies; manage budgets; and support long-term digital infrastructure planning

What you'll need to succeed

• Must have previous experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Architecture and/or Leadership experience in Cloud.

• Must understand BNM RMiT and industry best practices around cloud adoption for Financial Services.

• Experience in Public Cloud Platforms, On-prem, Private Cloud solutions, Data Centre Solutions and Microservices (Kubernetes).

• Must have experience in setting up DevOps/DevSecOps practices.

• Hands-on experience with Cloud Computing.
