Your new role

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of utility systems such as steam, compressed air, refrigeration, HVAC, and water treatment.
• Ensure all utility systems comply with safety, environmental, and food safety regulations.
• Lead energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives to reduce utility consumption and environmental impact.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for utility equipment.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to support operational reliability and capacity planning.
• Manage utility-related projects, including upgrades, expansions, and system optimisations.
• Supervise contractors and junior technicians, providing technical guidance and performance oversight.
• Monitor utility performance metrics and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and root cause investigations.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, specialising in Plant Utilities in the manufacturing industry. FMCG manufacturing is an added advantage.

• Experience in wastewater treatment plants and knowledge in boiler operations is necessary. Steam Engineer or CePIETSO competency is an added advantage.
