Your new company

A world market leader in the chemical manufacturing industry with an internationally renowned Shared Service Centre (SSC) based in Kuala Lumpur. Due to rapid expansion, they are looking for a Scrum Master to be part of the team that is responsible for running all related functions across the APAC region and globally.

Your new role

• Ensure that the Scrum framework is understood and implemented correctly by the Scrum Team, including the Product Owner and Development Team.
• Organise and facilitate Scrum events, such as Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Identify and eliminate any obstacles or impediments that are hindering the progress of the Scrum Team.
• Embrace a servant leadership approach by supporting the team's needs, enabling self-organization, and fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure the Product Backlog is well-defined, prioritised, and understood by the team.
• Help the team understand and use relevant metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and maintain transparency.
• Communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders and ensure their expectations align with the team's capabilities.
• Identify and address risks and dependencies that may affect the team's ability to deliver the planned increments of work.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology or business-technology related discipline
• At least 3 years of exposure as a Scrum Master
• Working experience within an MNC environment
• Expertise in effectively using Microsoft Azure DevOps to facilitate Agile and Scrum processes, manage work items, and support the team in delivering value to the organisation
