Your new role
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies for the distribution team to achieve revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
- Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, industry dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and respond proactively to changes.
- Sales Performance Management: Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), revenue reports, and recommend strategic adjustments to plans and budgets to meet business targets.
- Pricing & Negotiation Strategy: Formulate competitive pricing models and negotiation approaches to optimise profitability and secure favourable commercial outcomes.
- Team Development & Capability Building: Drive staff training, succession planning, and foster a high-performance culture across both local and regional teams.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government bodies, industry stakeholders, and service providers to enhance brand reputation and business growth.
- Operational Excellence & Culture: Promote a culture of integrity, ownership, and continuous improvement to ensure excellence in execution and team mindset.
What you'll need to succeed
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in senior management roles overseeing Sales and Marketing functions within trading and distribution environments.
- Sector Knowledge: Proven expertise in managing commercial distribution operations, with a strong understanding of product flow, market dynamics, and team performance.
- Team Development: Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing Sales and Marketing teams across diverse business units.
- Regional Market Exposure: Experience working in international markets such as China, Singapore, Vietnam, and other emerging or niche regions.
- Strategic & Operational Skills: Strong capabilities in strategic sales planning, cost management, supply chain optimisation, distribution strategy, and key account management.
- Technical & Compliance Proficiency: Solid grasp of trading principles and regulatory compliance, with the ability to navigate complex operational and legal frameworks.
