Team Manager – Financial Closing & Reporting (Shared Services)
We are representing a global organisation seeking an experienced professional to lead its Financial Closing & Reporting function within a centralised finance operations hub. This leadership role is responsible for managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and delivering accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial results
Manage general ledger operations, journal approvals, and account reconciliations
Analyse P&L and Balance Sheet movements, addressing anomalies and ensuring data integrity
Lead intercompany accounting, consolidation, and elimination processes
Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal financial policies
Coordinate with auditors and tax teams to support statutory reporting and audit readiness
Maintain and enhance internal controls, including SOX documentation
Drive process improvements, standardisation, and automation initiatives
Lead and develop a team of finance professionals within the R2R function
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across finance and business units
Candidate Profile
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification preferred (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA)
8+ years of relevant experience, including leadership in financial control or reporting
Strong technical accounting knowledge and hands-on SAP experience
Proven track record in managing close cycles and audits in a global or shared services setting
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and financial analysis
Familiarity with SOX or similar internal control frameworks
