Your new role
Commercial Strategy & Growth – Define and execute the commercial strategy for rigid packaging in Malaysia, identifying growth segments, key accounts, and portfolio opportunities while fostering long-term customer partnerships.
Sales Leadership & Key Accounts – Lead and develop the national sales organization, personally manage top-tier customers, and drive complex negotiations, long-term contracts, and pricing frameworks with strong pipeline discipline.
Pricing, Margins & Profitability – Own pricing strategy, contribution margins, and discount governance, ensuring all commercial decisions are data-driven and margin-focused in collaboration with Finance and Operations.
Cross-Functional Execution – Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and NPD teams to align sales commitments with capacity and cost structures, acting as the single accountability point between customers and the plant.
Leadership & Team Building – Build, coach, and retain a strong commercial leadership bench, driving a culture of accountability, performance, and customer obsession with clear KPIs, cadence reviews, and succession planning.
What you'll need to succeed
12–18 years B2B manufacturing experience, with strong focus on rigid plastic/FMCG packaging.
Proven leadership in managing large key accounts and national sales teams, with direct plant exposure.
Strong commercial judgment in pricing, margins, and negotiations; combines strategy with hands-on execution.
Direct, data-driven leadership style, customer-centric yet operationally grounded, effective across boardroom and shop-floor.
Solid education foundation: Bachelor’s in Business/Engineering; MBA preferred.
