Your new roleAs the Assistant Logistics Manager, you will support the Logistics Lead in coordinating day‑to‑day logistics and distribution activities, ensuring timely and accurate movement of materials to support production and outbound deliveries. You’ll assist with overseeing logistics operations, working with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety, and documentation requirements. The role also involves tracking shipment status, resolving operational issues, monitoring service performance, and working closely with planning, procurement, and warehouse teams to keep logistics activities aligned with site priorities.
What you'll need to succeed- Support daily inbound and outbound logistics coordination to ensure materials and shipments move on time and in line with production and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, transporters, and internal teams to manage shipment bookings, documentation, and delivery follow‑ups.
- Monitor shipment status, resolve delays or discrepancies, and escalate issues to maintain service continuity.
- Track logistics KPIs, costs, and service performance, supporting reporting and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure logistics activities comply with SOPs, safety standards, and trade or documentation requirements.
- People management skills.
