A leading automotive manufacturer based in Rawang is in search for a Material Planner to strengthen the supply chain management team. This role is key in ensuring seamless end-to-end supply chain management.

Your new role

• Manage direct material suppliers order and performance, ensure material supply on time, DIO and material usage control.
• Manage indirect material suppliers, provides desired terms of service, cost and quality to the business.

What you'll need to succeed

1. SRM and Supplier performance management, mainly on the material supplied on time.
2. Sufficient supplier capacity to support our production plan and business.
3. Raw material usage, total material inventory value and DIO control.
4. Inbound freight control.
5. Able to build good working relationships with everyone, especially with the production team, production planner and vendors.
6. Monitor the slow moving material and dead stock.
7. Indirect materials, initiate RFQ activity to support local business, evaluation of supplier quotes, price negotiations, supplier nomination, etc.
8. Support for ISO and other organisation certifications.
