HR Manager for a key automotive player going through transformation in Selangor, up to 12k

A well‑known, long‑standing Malaysian automotive and manufacturing organisation with a strong heritage in the industry. They are currently undergoing an exciting phase of transformation and modernisation, evolving their operations and culture to stay ahead in a rapidly changing market. As the business moves into its next chapter, they are looking for a dynamic HR leader to be the backbone of the organisation—working closely with senior leadership and department heads to strengthen people strategies, drive organisational growth, and help take the company to the next level.

Your new role

  • Manage industrial relations matters, including disciplinary issues and grievance handling.
  • Maintain productive relationships with trade unions and support collective agreement discussions.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits processes to ensure fairness and alignment with company practices.
  • Provide payroll oversight and ensure accuracy while understanding payroll workflows.
  • Support HR digitalisation initiatives, including system upgrades, enhancements, and UAT.
  • Lead or support recruitment activities, ensuring effective sourcing and timely hiring.
  • Coordinate performance management cycles and guide managers through review processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Drive employee engagement activities and contribute to culture-building efforts.
  • Provide day‑to‑day HR guidance across departments and support overall HR operations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Preferably more than 7-years of HR experience as a generalist

  • Experienced in the Automotive industry is an added advantage, otherwise manufacturing line

  • Must be willing to be based within the radius of Kajang, Cheras, Semenyih, Nilai

  • Proven experience as an HR generalist with exposure to IR, ER, and union‑related matters.
  • Preferably experienced in pioneering parts of a business transformation

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills

  • Ability to work independently, handle sensitive matters, and support organisational change.
