Your new role
As Supply Chain Director, APAC, you will lead the regional supply chain strategy and execution, overseeing end‑to‑end operations including procurement, logistics, inventory management, production planning, and distribution across multiple APAC markets. This is a highly strategic role with direct influence on business performance, cost optimisation, and supply chain resilience.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Defining and executing the APAC supply chain roadmap aligned with global strategy, regulatory requirements, and regional growth objectives.
- Leading strategic sourcing and supplier management, ensuring quality, reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance with global procurement standards.
- Overseeing international logistics and complex project execution, including cross-border trade, incoterms, and regulatory compliance.
- Driving performance management and analytics, using KPIs and data-driven insights to guide regional decision-making.
- Championing digitalisation and technology adoption, including SAP, planning tools, and analytics platforms.
- Managing risk, compliance, and governance, covering trade, customs, safety, ethics, and FCPA requirements.
- Building and integrating the Malaysia supply chain team, while ensuring seamless coordination and alignment across regional operations.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- 12–15 years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role at a regional or global level.
- Strong background in discrete manufacturing, preferably within sheet metal or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Proven expertise across strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, inventory management, production planning, and international logistics.
- Deep understanding of APAC trade routes, customs regulations, and cross-border supply chain operations.
- Advanced capability in SAP, supply chain systems, and analytics tools such as Power BI and Excel.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural communication skills.
- A solid educational foundation with a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related fields; an MBA or Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Fluency in English (Mandarin or another Asian language is a plus), high ethical standards, and the flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time.
