Your new role
They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Recruiter to perform end-to-end recruitment for nurses in the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- The Nurse Recruiter is responsible for attracting, sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified nursing professionals to meet organizational staffing needs.
- This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR to ensure timely recruitment while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and delivering an excellent candidate experience.
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified nurses (RNs, LPNs, CNAs, or specialty nurses as required).
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, career fairs, schools, and professional networks.
- Screen resumes, conduct phone/video interviews, and assess candidates’ clinical qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Verify licences, certifications, credentials, and work eligibility in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage offer processes, including salary discussions, employment contracts, and onboarding coordination.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Partner with leadership to understand workforce plans, staffing gaps, and hiring priorities.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, healthcare regulations, and internal policies.
- Track recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate pipeline).
- Represent the organization professionally at recruitment events and industry forums.
What you'll need to succeed
- Registered Nurse with a background in a nursing role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare or nursing recruitment.
- Strong understanding of nursing roles, credentials, and licensure requirements.
- Experience with ATS platforms and recruitment tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
