A large, well-established regional organisation is seeking a Head of People Services to lead and transform its People Services function at Group Corporate level.
This is a senior operational HR role with a strong governance, systems, and service delivery mandate—ideal for an experienced HR operations leader who enjoys building scalable shared services, strengthening controls, and driving continuous improvement.
Your new role
Reporting into senior HR leadership, you will be responsible for end-to-end People Services across the Corporate Centre, covering HR operations, payroll and benefits, HR systems, compliance, and service delivery governance.
You will play a critical role in:
- Establishing a robust and well-governed People Services operating model
- Leading HR systems implementation and optimisation
- Improving audit readiness, controls, and compliance
- Enhancing service levels, employee experience, and operational efficiency
- Managing internal stakeholders and external vendors across HR, Finance, IT, and partners
This role also contributes to broader transformation initiatives, including digital enablement, data integrity, analytics, and workforce agility.
Some key responsibilities include: - Lead and oversee People Services, including employee life cycle administration, payroll, benefits, and HR operations
- Drive HR systems implementation, automation, and optimisation initiatives
- Strengthen HR governance, audit management, statutory compliance, and control frameworks
- Manage vendors, service partners, and shared services performance
- Establish and monitor HR operational metrics, data quality, and reporting
- Lead continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives
- Oversee contingency planning to ensure operational continuity
- Partner closely with HR COEs and senior stakeholders to deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience
What you'll need to succeed - Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline (professional HR certification is an advantage)
- 10–12 years of experience in HR operations, shared services, payroll, benefits, and HR systems, including people leadership exposure
- Strong knowledge of HR operating models, HRMS implementation, payroll governance, and employee life cycle processes
- Solid experience in audit, compliance, internal controls, and statutory requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors in a complex organisation
- Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and service mindset
- Comfortable operating in a structured, control-conscious, and fast-paced environment
