Your new role
The Senior/Marketing Manager – Personal Care is responsible for driving profitable growth of the Personal Care - Speciality Chemicals business through effective portfolio management, market expansion, innovation commercialisation, pricing strategy, and strategic customer engagement. Acting as the business owner for the product line, the incumbent develops and executes growth strategies, identifies new market opportunities, and manages product life cycles while collaborating with Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
The position focusses on strengthening the company’s presence in Europe, North America, and Northeast Asia, ensuring successful product launches and market penetration. This role integrates product management, marketing, and business development responsibilities, with full accountability for delivering sustainable growth and competitive positioning in global markets.
Product strategy & portfolio management – Define and execute global growth strategies, manage product roadmaps, analyse market trends, and lead portfolio reviews to optimise profitability and positioning.
Life cycle & innovation management – Oversee end‑to‑end product life cycles, prioritise new product development, collaborate with R&D, and drive commercialisation from concept through launch.
Market development & business growth – Identify new opportunities, build pipelines, partner with sales teams, and expand our presence in Europe, North America, and Northeast Asia.
Marketing & value proposition – Develop compelling positioning, translate technical attributes into customer benefits, create marketing tools, and represent the product line at industry events.
Pricing & customer engagement – Establish pricing strategies, monitor margins, support profitability reviews, and build strong relationships with strategic accounts and key decision makers.
What you'll need to succeed
Educational background – Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, business, marketing, or a related discipline.
Industry expertise – At least 10 years in personal care ingredients, speciality chemicals, semiochemicals, or cosmetic ingredients.
Commercial experience – Minimum 10 years in sales, business development, product management, or related commercial roles.
Customer-facing skills – 2–3 years of direct client engagement including visits, opportunity development, and technical-commercial discussions.
Global market exposure – Strong understanding of formulations, applications, and trends, with preferred experience in Europe, North America, and Northeast Asia; proven track record in product launches, market development, and innovation commercialisation.
