My client is a public-listed energy and infrastructure company with a strong presence across Asia, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Executive to take ownership of full sets of accounts and support the business through its next phase of consolidation and growth.

Your new role

Operating across complex, project‑driven environments, the organisation is strengthening its finance function to enhance financial control, reporting discipline, and governance as it scales its operations across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands‑on role for a finance professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is comfortable working closely with management, auditors, and key stakeholders.

• Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with MFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the tax planning, audit processes, and statutory filings in accordance with Malaysian laws and MIA standards.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial reports for Bursa announcements and relevant board papers.
• Liaise with auditors for the yearly audit, preparation of financial statements and assist in the preparation of the Annual Report.
• Assist in preparation of tax estimates and liaise with tax agents for statutory tax submission.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax agents, and other external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and internal controls.

What you'll need to succeed

• Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is typically required.
• Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of working experience handling full set of accounts. A background in External Audit is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential for managing financial data and reports.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are critical for ensuring accuracy in financial records and transactions.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
