Your new role

As a Business Development Executive, you will handle steel materials sourced from China, Malaysia, Japan, and other regions while promoting them to customers across Malaysia. You will:
  • Make appointments and actively visit new and existing customers.
  • Build strong, long‑term relationships through frequent engagement and trust‑based communication.
  • Understand the business structure and commercial flow of each industry you serve.
  • Identify where your company can add value and propose broader business opportunities beyond one‑off deals.
  • Complete all required administrative tasks with discipline.
  • Continuously learn and deepen your knowledge of steel applications and relevant industries.
This is a proactive, high‑activity position ideal for someone who enjoys being on the ground, meeting people, and creating new business opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

Personality & Approach

  • Proactive, self‑driven, and willing to take initiative.
  • Comfortable frequently visiting customers and exploring new opportunities.
  • Friendly, honest, humble, and able to build rapport quickly.
Experience

  • Background in the power, data centre equipment, or automotive industries with strong domain knowledge.
  • Some work experience in the steel industry is a significant advantage.
  • Malaysian Chinese candidates are preferred due to customer and market requirements.
