What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in database administration (installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management) in at least one DB mentioned above.
• Solid knowledge of backup, recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Proven ability in performance tuning, query optimisation, indexing, and capacity planning.
• Experience with database monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) and/or PaaS database services.
• Understanding of database security, including access control, encryption, and data protection standards.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting, with working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Exposure to database migration, replication, and data transfer practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
