This publicly listed company in Malaysia specialises in construction and civil engineering services for various building projects such as residential, industrial, commercial and institutional. With an expansion, they are currently looking for a Finance Manager to lead the accounting & finance team.

Your new role

As one of the key members of the team, you will be responsible for:

• Supervise and coordinate all the accounting functions of the Finance & Accounts Department for the Construction Division to ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
• Manage daily operations, funds & cash management, and undertake all administrative duties within set authority limits.
• Ensure timely submission of all accounting and management reports in compliance with the statutory and regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Verify all accounting transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Liaise with auditors, company secretaries, tax agents, financial institutions, and legal advisors on all financial and accounting-related matters.
• Liaise with the parent company and coordinate with Bursa Malaysia and SSM on all issues relating to financial matters of the company.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• Must be a Chartered Accountant (MIA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MICPA etc)
• Comes from Construction / Property Development companies
• Minimum 3 years related working experience at the Managerial Level, in managing all aspects of financial and accounting functions
• Well-spoken and written in the English language
• Adept in project accounting, familiar with budgeting & forecast
• Group Accounts experience is an added advantage.
