This company started its business back in the 1970s, specialising in the construction industry. The company grew exponentially over the years and took on various projects, be it residential, commercial, industrial or public facilities. With that, a Finance Manager position has been created.

Your new role

As one of the key members of the team, you will be in charge of:

• Managing the financial accounting functions of companies within the group.
• Monitoring and managing treasury functions, working closely with internal business units on liquidity planning, cash management and funding requirements.
• Establishing proper accounting procedures and systems to record all transactions accurately and promptly.
• Enhance and improve financial systems, processes, tools and internal control policies and procedures.
• Ensure financial statements are accurately prepared on a timely basis and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax and Companies Act).
• Coordinating preparation of business plans, forecasts and budgets.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you must be:

• Possessing a Degree in Accounting or Finance with professional qualifications is highly preferable (MIA, ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the Accounting & Finance field
• Preferably with experience in the property development/construction/building industry
• Knowledge of IFCA/ACCWIN accounting software is an advantage.
