They are one of the top reputable tech software company in Malaysia, currently has market presence over the South East Asia regions. Now, they are looking for a Financial Controller to oversee their Malaysia's finance functions.
Your new role
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to drive business growth and profitability.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track the company's financial health and identify areas for improvement.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings.
Treasury and Cash Management:
Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
Optimize working capital management through effective receivables, payables, and inventory management.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks, such as currency exchange risk and interest rate risk.
Financial Operations and Controls:
Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Streamline financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
Collaborate with executive management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial performance and operational effectiveness
What you'll need to succeed
Chartered qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA etc) and bachelor degree in accounting or finance.
A minimum of 10 years of accounting & finance leadership working experience.
Added advantage to have prior experience in IT or Insurance industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities, with a focus on fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
