Your new role
As a Forwarding Manager (KEK Certified), you will play a crucial role in safeguarding compliance and ensuring the seamless flow of goods within the organisation. Unlike traditional external-facing roles, your focus will be on managing all customs clearance processes internally, ensuring every shipment adheres to regulatory requirements while maintaining operational efficiency. Acting as the organisation’s subject-matter expert for customs regulations and procedures, you will be responsible for driving compliance excellence, resolving clearance issues promptly, and providing strategic guidance to internal teams. Your expertise will not only protect the integrity of the supply chain but also enable the business to operate smoothly and competitively in a highly regulated environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- Only Kursus Ejen Kastam (KEK) Certified candidates will be shortlisted.
- Manage all internal customs clearance processes to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods across borders.
- Act as the organization’s subject-matter expert on customs regulations, providing guidance and resolving clearance issues promptly and maintain full compliance with local and international customs laws, safeguarding the integrity of the supply chain.
- Engage directly with customs authorities when required, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of regulatory matters.
- Provide timely updates and reports to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in customs processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce clearance times.
- Train and advise internal teams on customs compliance requirements, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
- Excellent proficiency in Mandarin – written/spoken/reading
