Your new role

As a Group Reporting Specialist, your responsibilities include:

• Prepare and review consolidated accounts on a monthly basis.
• Post monthly journal vouchers for corporate financial matters (e.g., share incentives, dividends).
• Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis and provide financial commentary to management.
• Prepare quarterly announcements for Bursa.
• Collaborate with finance counterparts to prepare notes for financial statements and quarterly announcements.
• Review subsidiaries’ statutory financial statements.
• Review quarterly debt covenants and provide requested financial information to bankers.
• Assist Finance Business Partners with tax estimations.
• Develop annual budgets and revised budgets for long-term incentive plans, share incentives, and Group Reporting Team costs.
• Prepare relevant reports for the immediate holding company.
• Review monthly key control checks (e.g., inactive general ledger accounts).
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Handle ad-hoc requests related to regulatory submissions and management.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accountancy, or any relevant qualifications (i.e. ACCA, MIA, CPA, ICAEW, etc)
• At least 5–7 years of relevant working experience in External Audit and/or Group Reporting function
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
• Exposure within the telecommunications industry is advantageous.
