Your new role

• Oversee a dedicated team of 8 accounting and payroll professionals.
• Ensure timely management of client portfolios, delivering comprehensive services such as Accounts Receivable and Payable Management, General Ledger Maintenance, Financial Reporting, Cash Flow Analysis, Tax Reporting, Payroll Administration, and addressing ad-hoc business process inquiries.
• Offer expert advice on compliance, accounting standards, payroll procedures, and process optimization to clients.
• Contribute to budget preparation and financial forecasting efforts.
• Facilitate the adoption of new systems both within the company and for client operations.
• Maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Assess and address the team’s professional development requirements.
• Proactively identify and rectify internal control deficiencies, and continuously seek process improvements through automation and other means.
• Promptly respond to client communications, ensuring replies are sent within 1 to 3 days, and conduct necessary follow-ups.
• Guarantee accurate invoicing and billing processes for clients.
• Uphold meticulous record-keeping and filing standards.

What you'll need to succeed

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, particularly in client-facing roles with international clientele.
• 3 to 4 years in a managerial capacity, leading teams effectively.
• A self-starter with a strong sense of teamwork, possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Malay (both written and verbal communication).
• Educational qualifications such as a Diploma, Degree, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge of MFRS and MPERS, with familiarity with other accounting standards like German GAAP and US GAAP being beneficial.
• Experience with financial software such as SAP, Autocount, or Sage EasyPay is desirable.
• Background in auditing or taxation, with a solid understanding of business processes, internal controls, risk management, and financial due diligence will be considered an asset.
