Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Are you a strategic finance leader with a passion for driving commercial success in a dynamic consumer goods environment? Our client, a global player in the Pharmaceuticals and FMCG industry, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead commercial finance operations across the region.


Your new role

This pivotal role acts as a key business partner to Sales and Commercial teams, providing financial leadership, performance insights, and strategic guidance to support sustainable growth. You will lead financial planning, trade investment analysis, and margin optimization, while also spearheading the regional planning cycle to identify risks and opportunities with clear financial implications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead financial planning and forecasting for commercial trade investments.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to evaluate pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, and ROI.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, trade spend, and profitability by channel and customer.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls related to commercial activities.
  • Drive monthly planning cycles and facilitate strategic discussions on topline performance and P&L impact.
  • Support implementation of financial tools and systems for enhanced commercial tracking and analysis.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA) are highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in commercial finance or controlling roles, ideally within FMCG or retail.
  • Technical Skills: Strong command of Excel, SAP, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Query).
  • Leadership Attributes: Collaborative, analytical, and confident in presenting to senior stakeholders. Agile in navigating fast-paced environments and shifting business priorities.
