Head of Legal with a Property Developer company to be based in Kuala Lumpur, up to RM420k per annum

Our client is a well-known Property Developer who is looking for a Head of Legal to join their organisation and lead their robust legal team.

Your new role

As the Head of Legal, your responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Lead and execute the necessary procedures and policies as required by the organisation
  • Lead the Legal & Secretarial department
  • Play a key role in providing legal advisory to the organisation while protecting the organisation's interests
  • Review all legal & secretarial matters and highlight the potentials while providing recommendations to resolve the issues
  • Execute and complete all corporate exercises in a timely manner
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders and senior management
  • Key liaison for all litigation matters
  • Liaise with external lawyers on relevant litigation matters

What you'll need to succeed

In order to qualify for this role, you must:
  • Be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 10 - 15 years PQE
  • Strong technical legal expertise within land matters with relevant exposure in Property or Real Estate industry
  • Dynamic, proactive and flexible with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Bursa listing requirements is advantageous
  • Strong legal drafting skills and capabilities, legal risk analysis and mitigation and strong business acumen in balancing legal risks with business benefits.
