Your new role

• Own and drive the company’s end‑to‑end technology and digital transformation agenda
• Evaluate, justify, and lead the implementation of a non‑SAP ERP, integrating Finance, Procurement, Inventory, HR, and Operations
• Design the future‑state application and data architecture from a largely manual, Excel‑driven environment
• Build strong, evidence‑based business cases to secure investment and leadership alignment
• Select cost‑effective, fit‑for‑purpose, including off‑market ERP solutions where appropriate
• Restructure and rebuild the IT function, including talent upgrades, role redesign, and capability uplift
• Establish governance and delivery discipline, including PMO‑style project structures
• Shift IT from a support function to a business enabler with a startup‑style execution mindset
• Partner closely with senior stakeholders to drive decisions, alignment, and adoption
• Lead change in a legacy, low‑digital‑maturity environment with clarity, pace, and accountability

What you'll need to succeed

You are a senior technology leader who has successfully led ERP selection and implementation in environments that were underemphasise, cost‑constrained, or resistant to change.

You will bring:

• Proven experience selecting and implementing ERP systems (excluding SAP), ideally in manufacturing or asset‑heavy environments

• Strong capability in business case development, ROI justification, and investment recommendations to senior leadership

• A demonstrated ability to recommend fit‑for‑purpose, cost‑effective, and non‑mainstream solutions where appropriate

• Experience transforming or rebuilding IT teams, including introducing new talent, redefining operating models, and driving cultural change

• A practical understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and vendor management

• Confidence operating in organisations with legacy processes and low digital maturity, and the resilience to drive change

• A decisive leadership style — able to align stakeholders, make clear recommendations, and move projects forward
