This is an upstream oil and gas company based in Kuala Lumpur.
Your new role
As a Financial Reporting Manager, you are required to;
- Monitor and review month end book close activities and processes for the entities under the group level and perform one consolidation account
- Working capital and free cash flow analysis including cash calls, inventories, capital expenditures and account receivables and payables
- Prepare latest estimates/ forecast of financial results on monthly basis and monitor actual results closely to the estimates.
- Review of administration team’s transactions including bank reconciliation, inter-companies billing, loans and accrued interest, inter-PSC transactions, and review of account payable/ receivables aged items.
- Profit & Loss financial business variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Inventories analysis and reconciliation to material management records
- Key balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Forex revaluation reasonableness
- Financial accounting entries including lease entries (IFRS16), accretion and Asset retirement obligation (“ARO”) entries.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent with professional qualifications (e.g. CA ANZ, ICAEW, ACCA, CPA, MIA).
Minimum of 8 years in accounting or similar field, preferably a minimum of 4-year experience managing team members. Prior experience as external auditor in reputable audit firms will be an advantage.
Experience working in the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Excellent supervisory, verbal, and written communication skills, an in-depth knowledge of PSC accounting and management reporting requirements.
