A leading food distribution company is seeking a proactive and experienced MIS Manager to lead their information systems function. This role is critical in ensuring that their technology infrastructure supports the business's operational and strategic goals.
Your new role
As the MIS Manager, you will be responsible for managing all facets of IT systems, ensuring data integrity, leading the IT team, and executing cross-functional projects to enhance efficiency and support business decisions. Your main duties will include:
- Systems Management: Supervising the setup, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of MIS infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware.
- Data Management: Overseeing data collection, storage, processing, and retrieval to ensure accuracy, integrity, and availability.
- Team Leadership: Guiding and managing the IT/MIS team, ensuring tasks are clearly assigned and performance is monitored.
- Business Analysis & Reporting: Collaborating with various departments to understand their information needs and creating dashboards, KPIs, and reports to aid decision-making.
- Project Management: Leading IT projects such as ERP implementations, system upgrades, and integrations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Managing vendor relationships and monitoring the IT budget to control costs and ensure service quality.
- Policy, Security & Compliance: Developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and enhancing cybersecurity measures.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT or MIS roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
- Demonstrated experience in managing ERP systems, data reporting, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to support business decisions through data and systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and vendor coordination.
- A solid understanding of business operations and the role of IT in driving growth and efficiency.
- Practical experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including implementation, configuration, or operational support.
- Familiarity with e-ordering or B2B platforms to support sales or customer operations.
