Planning Manager (JOHOR)

You will be joining a manufacturing organisation operating in Johor, supporting a complex supply chain within the FMCG manufacturing environment. The company places strong emphasis on planning accuracy, OTIF performance, inventory discipline, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliable production and customer fulfilment.

Your new role

As Planning Manager reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will lead the end‑to‑end supply and material planning (MRP) process to support manufacturing operations and customer order fulfilment.
Your role will focus on:
  • Translating sales forecasts and customer orders into accurate raw material and packaging requirements.
  • Developing weekly and rolling material plans to ensure uninterrupted production and delivery.
  • Driving OTIF performance by ensuring material availability and guiding sales on serviceable capacity.
  • Managing inventory control, including safety stock levels, imported and local materials, and slow‑moving stock.
  • Leading and participating in S&OP processes, including weekly planning reviews and monthly S&OP meetings.
  • Driving continuous improvement in planning accuracy, responsiveness, and system/tool effectiveness.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • Strong experience in material planning, forecasting, and MRP‑driven environments, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Solid understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and planning tools.
  • High analytical capability, with the ability to anticipate constraints, mitigate risks, and prevent stockouts.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, procurement, production, and logistics teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
  • A performance mindset, driven by KPIs such as OTIF delivery, forecast accuracy, zero stockouts, and reduced emergency procurement.
