Your new company
They are a local electrical subcontractor specializing in solar and electrical infrastructure works. They are currently seeking a Site Engineer to be based at our Large Scale Solar (LSS) Farm project site in the northern region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing solar farm construction, particularly from a subcontractor’s perspective, with strong technical and coordination skills.
Your new role
- Manage and supervise electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Work closely with the main contractor, consultants, and other trades to ensure smooth site operations and timely delivery.
- Prepare and monitor method statements, work programs, and daily progress to align with project timelines.
- Conduct inspections, support testing and commissioning, and ensure all works meet regulatory and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate site records including as-built drawings, inspection reports, and technical submissions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects, preferably with a subcontractor.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical installation standards, and site coordination.
- Proficient in preparing method statements, work schedules, and technical documentation.
- Familiar with local authority requirements, safety protocols, and inspection procedures.
- Able to work independently and manage site teams effectively.
- Willing to be based full-time at the project site.
