Your new role

You’ll be working directly with a General Manager who is deeply committed to your development. Expect mentorship, collaboration, and a leader who will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you as you navigate this transformation together.
Quality System Management: Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 & ISO 9001, manage PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and traceability for screws, bolts, nuts, and specialty fasteners.
Customer Complaint Handling: Be the key contact for product issues, lead root cause investigations (8D, 5-Why), and ensure timely, professional responses to customer-specific requirements.
Process & Dimensional Control: Implement CTQ controls, SPC, and capability studies (CP, CPK) to reduce variation and improve product reliability.
Optical Sorting Optimization: Maximize sorting machine performance, reduce false rejects, and enhance PPM metrics through engineering collaboration.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment: Manage QA teams across labs and inspections, lead cost-reduction initiatives, and foster a culture of accountability and prevention.Reporting & KPIs: Track and report key metrics including PPM, 8D timeliness, audit closures, yield, and rejection rates to senior leadership.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Metallurgical, or Quality Engineering.
Minimum 8–10 years in QA/QC within the automotive maufacturing industry or, precision metal component manufacturing environment
Must have strong working experience with IATF 16949; knowledge of customer-specific requirements (e.g., VDA, AIAG) is a plus.
Proven ability to manage product audits, PPAPs, control plans, gauge validation, and product lifecycle traceability.
Competent in using measurement tools (e.g., micrometer, hardness tester, profile projector, sorting systems).
Familiarity with fastener product testing standards (e.g., torque, tension, shear, coating thickness) is advantageous.
Proficient in English, Malay and Mandarin; excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
