You will be joining a well‑established multinational organisation within the food manufacturing sector, known for its strong technical capabilities, robust R&D culture, and diverse product portfolio. The company operates a modern production facility in Johor and is expanding its regional innovation capabilities to support both local and export markets.

Your new role

• Lead end‑to‑end development, optimisation, and commercialisation of UHT plant‑based beverages, creams, margarine/fat systems, and chocolate/compound products, acting as the technical project owner.
• Plan, execute, and analyse laboratory, pilot plant, and industrial trials, ensuring smooth scale‑up and resolution of formulation or process‑related challenges across all product categories.
• Develop and refine formulations by optimizing emulsion stability, lipid crystallization, rheology, texture, shelf life, and processing performance depending on the respective product system.
• Supervise and coordinate pilot plant technicians during trials while maintaining strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams such as Production, QA, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales.
• Prepare technical documentation (TDS, specifications, SAP master data) and present technical results, insights, and project progress to internal stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, 3–5 years of R&D experience in UHT products, oils & fats/margarine, or chocolate/compound systems.
• At least 3–5 years of R&D experience in either UHT products, oils & fats/margarine, or chocolate/compound systems.
• Strong technical knowledge in emulsion systems, oils & fats chemistry, lipid crystallization, rheology, and thermal/UHT processing, with hands‑on experience in formulation design and optimisation.
• Proven ability to conduct pilot plant operations, industrial scale‑up, and troubleshoot formulation or process challenges across multiple product categories.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• High level of ownership, technical autonomy, and documentation discipline, including the ability to prepare TDS, specifications, and SAP master data
