This is a well established European manufacturer with a market presence in over 6 countries in the APAC region.
Your new role
- Responsible for supporting the establishment of a regional reporting structure and performance management system, partnering with the regional management team to help them achieve business targets and further grow the region. Working with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly financial statements.
- Ensure the integrity of general ledger and perform balance sheet review monthly.
- Ensure financial management indicators are robust and issues resolved appropriately within agreed timescales.
- Responsible for the accuracy, timely completion of all monthly financial management, annual reports, and integrity of the financial performance for the country Business from both a management and statutory accounting perspective, ensuring policies and controls are adopted in line with the Group guidance.
- Continuously monitors & updates cash flow weekly. Ensure cash flow is well managed. Alerts to Senior Finance Manager to take necessary actions to ensure cash flow is positive.
- Oversee local tax and ensure all tax payments are duly made. Complies with all local legislative requirements.
- Working with an external auditor to make sure the Audit Financial Statement (AFS) produce timely.
- Monitors and analysis departments work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Responsible for the country's business planning and forecasting process, ensuring group timetables & outputs are achieved.
- Ad-hoc tasks, job or reporting by the Senior Finance Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Accounting, ACCA/CIMA/CPA holders are welcome to apply.
- Willing to Travel (Flexibility to travel across the Asia region.)
- The ability to speak, read and write in Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Team player with good people and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure in meeting deadlines.
- Results-oriented and detail-minded person.
- Advanced analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Highly effective in written communication and verbal reasoning
- Highly effective at working with little supervision and able to delegate but retain ownership and accountability
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP
- Working Experience – min 5 to 10 years, relevant work with APAC region experience would be an added advantage
