Regional Distribution Manager (Spare Parts) (SEA) (Johor Bahru)

A world-class manufacturer is seeking an experienced Regional Distribution Manager for Southeast Asia.
Your new company
A global automotive manufacturer runs a regional aftersales and spare parts distribution network across Southeast Asia, covering multiple high-volume markets with complex logistics and dealer ecosystems. The function integrates demand planning, regional warehousing, and last-mile distribution to support a large installed vehicle base. It is accountable for parts availability, service continuity, cost control, and compliance across markets with different regulatory and operating environments.

Your new role
You will lead regional spare parts distribution across Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia, with full accountability for parts availability, stock health, and dealer supply performance. You will drive demand planning, inventory optimisation, and logistics execution across regional hubs and market operations. The role requires direct oversight of allocation strategies, service level performance (fill rate, backorders), and working capital tied to parts inventory. You will interface with global supply, regional leadership, and local market teams to align supply strategies, resolve constraints, and implement process improvements. You will also standardise operating practices across markets, strengthen governance and reporting, and build a distribution setup that can scale with market demand and support long-term aftersales growth.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Hands-on ownership of regional spare parts distribution with direct accountability for service levels, inventory health, and dealer fulfilment performance across multiple markets – preferably ASEAN/SEA.
  • Proven experience in demand planning and inventory optimisation within complex, high volume & value SKU environments, balancing availability targets with working capital control.
  • End-to-end logistics leadership experience, including direct management of 3PL partners across inbound, warehousing, and last-mile distribution, with responsibility for cost, SLA, and performance governance.
  • Strong exposure to dealer or distributor networks, with deep understanding of allocation logic, order management, escalation handling, and aftersales service requirements.
  • Demonstrated regional and global stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (supply, commercial, finance) and drive alignment across markets and headquarters.
  • Track record of leading multi-country teams and delivering process and system improvements, including standardisation, SAP/ERP utilisation, and operational transformation initiatives.
