Your new role

Your team will be responsible for category management, strategic vendor development, tactical procurement activities, inventory/delivery monitoring and PO support for regional entities. You will be joining a business that is diverse in industry and has a strong reputation for experienced leaders at the helm. They are now embarking on a transformation initiative that will see group support functions centralised in Malaysia in order to streamline business capabilities and allow for commercial functions to focus on expansion. You will work with C-suite and global stakeholders to define, design, recruit and execute strategies for the support function, ramping up operations within a given timeline.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong end-to-end Procurement fundamentals are a MUST (Strategic Sourcing, Negotiation, Supplier Relationship Management, Tender and Contracting, Operational Procurement Execution)
• Direct working experience in global manufacturing industries, ideally in Shared Service setups or with experience managing large matrix teams
• Positive track-record across matrix environments
• Effective communication skills in English are a must, both spoken and written. SEA languages an added advantage
• Hands on knowledge of SAP / ERP
• Proven achievements in Change Leadership / Greenfield environments
• Only open to Malaysians / Malaysia Long-term Resident Pass / Malaysia Talent Pass holders
