A Merchandiser for a global retailer who has been established in the market for over decades. (Based in Selangor)
Your new role
Your responsibilities include:
Manage category purchasing in line with approved budgets and pricing, ensuring all buy decisions are commercially sound and within agreed limits.
Partner with Buying to finalize purchase quantities, place orders only after authorized sample approvals, and ensure compliance with internal controls and timelines.
Own supplier purchase execution for assigned categories, including PO accuracy, delivery schedules, and proactive follow‑up to mitigate any delayed deliveries.
Monitor and control SKU count to support healthy inventory levels and minimize aging inventory.
Review merchandising and stock reports and take timely purchasing or rebalancing actions to protect sales, margin, and inventory productivity.
What you'll need to succeed
Retail / FMCG background preferred
Strong experience in merchandising, supplier management and inventory management
Ability to forecast historical data and manage the end-to-end purchasing cycle
Ability to operate independently
Thrive in fast-paced environments
