Your new role

A Business Development Land Acquisition professional plays a crucial role in identifying and securing land for development projects.

  • Research and Identification: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential land acquisition opportunities. This involves analysing market trends, property values, and zoning regulations.

  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of land purchases with property owners. This includes drafting and reviewing purchase agreements and contracts in collaboration with legal teams.

  • Due Diligence: Perform due diligence activities such as environmental assessments, title searches, and zoning verifications to ensure the land is suitable for the intended use.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with various stakeholders, including developers, government officials, and private landowners, to facilitate smooth transactions and obtain necessary permits and approvals.

  • Financial Analysis: Collaborate with financial analysts to determine the cost-effectiveness of potential acquisitions and ensure alignment with the company's budget and project timelines.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of land purchases and sales, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Strategic Planning: Provide strategic recommendations based on market trends and emerging opportunities to support the company's growth and development objectives


What you'll need to succeed

Client is looking for someone from property developers that has A-Z experience with acquiring new land.

You must be part of the feasibility studies, market research and analysis, proposing land to stakeholders and getting their buyins as well.
As this is a senior role, it is important for you to also be someone who has strong leadership experience, able to manage stakeholders at all levels.
Preferably, your land-acquiring experience should strongly come from residential developments.
