My client is seeking a high-performing Senior Medical Sales Representative to drive growth in their cardiology and metabolic portfolio across assigned hospitals, specialist clinics, and key accounts. You’ll lead territory planning, deliver value-based engagements with cardiologists, endocrinologists, internal medicine specialists, and allied HCPs, and partner cross-functionally to ensure flawless execution of brand strategies in an MNC setting.
Your new role
Territory Ownership & Revenue Delivery
- Achieve/exceed sales targets, market share, and growth objectives for cardiology & metabolic brands.
- Develop and execute territory business plans with granular segmentation (HCP, account, product, cycle tactics).
- Forecast demand, manage budgets, and ensure optimal product availability.
HCP & Account Engagement
- Conduct scientific, evidence-led discussions with cardiologists, endocrinologists, internists, pharmacists, and nurses.
- Facilitate formulary listings, treatment pathway inclusion, and protocol adoption in hospitals and private networks.
- Plan and deliver CME/CPD activities, round tables, and speaker programs.
KOL Development & Advocacy
- Identify, profile, and engage KOLs; build advocacy through impactful medical education and peer-to-peer initiatives.
- Partner with Medical Affairs on advisory boards, publications updates, and data dissemination.
Cross-Functional Excellence
- Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Supply Chain to resolve barriers and accelerate uptake.
- Provide field insights to shape strategy (patient pathways, competitor moves, reimbursement dynamics).
Data-Driven Execution
- Use CRM tools for call planning, call quality tracking, and activity compliance.
- Analyse territory performance (sell-in/sell-out, DDD, IMS data, patient flow) to refine tactics and resource allocation.
Compliance & Governance
- Uphold ethical standards and comply with local regulations, company policies, pharmacovigilance reporting, anti-corruption, and promotional codes.
- Ensure accurate adverse event reporting and medical information escalation
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related; an MBA is a plus.
- 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience within an MNC environment, and 2–3 years of current cardio-metabolic experience
- Experience in private and government hospitals
- Coverage: 1 HC in Central, 1 HC in Penang and 1 HC in Johor
- Proven success in cardiology and/or metabolic therapeutic areas (e.g., cardiovascular risk reduction, diabetes therapies, lipid management).
- Established relationships with cardiologists, endocrinologists, internal medicine specialists, and hospital pharmacy committees.
- Strong track record of meeting/exceeding targets and driving formulary wins.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, data analysis (e.g., IQVIA/IMS), and digital engagement tools.
